I started this shop as a way to get my art - and maybe even my ideas - out to the masses. And to pay for my food while I'm at college. That's a big one too. But I think the first one is more important. I really like the human aspect of sending someone something that you created for them to hang on their wall so that they and anyone who walks down their hall will see it. The possibility of someone seeing something I made and then reacting to it in their own way gets me excited.
I try to make each product as personal as possible as a way of showing people how much I truly appreciate them taking an interest in what I do. Some of the methods I use include only doing small quantities of each print, usually 25 or less, all of which I sign and number by hand. I'll even drop an occasional handwritten note in an envelope with a print before I send it out, telling my customer how much I appreciate their support. Things like this always make me smile when they happen to me and I want others to feel that same way when they support me.
A lot of the art I sell on here comes right out of my sketchbook. I'm constantly coming up with new ideas and will be putting them up here as I come up with them. This is another reason I do small run prints, I'd rather have small quantities of a lot of different pieces out there instead of a larger quantity of only a few pieces. If you don't see something you like in the shop at the moment, check back in a few weeks and you might find a totally different lineup of pieces that you like better than previous ones.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll keep coming back,
Dylan
